FAQs
1. What is permanent makeup, and how does it work?
Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing, is a procedure where pigment is implanted into the skin using a specialized device. It enhances natural features like brows, lips, and eyeliner, offering long-lasting results that reduce the need for daily makeup application.
2. How long does permanent makeup last?
The longevity of permanent makeup varies depending on the area treated, skin type, lifestyle, and pigment used. Typically, results last 1-3 years, with annual touch-ups recommended to maintain the look.
3. Is the procedure painful?
Most clients report minimal discomfort. We apply a topical numbing cream before and during the procedure to ensure a comfortable experience. Sensitivity levels can vary depending on the area and individual pain tolerance.
4. What is the healing process like?
After the procedure, you may experience slight redness, swelling, or scabbing for 5-10 days. It’s essential to follow aftercare instructions, such as keeping the area clean and avoiding excessive moisture or sun exposure. Full healing typically takes 6-8 weeks.
5. What’s the difference between inkless scar revision and scar camouflage?
Inkless scar revision uses a medical-grade serum to stimulate collagen production and improve the texture of scars without adding pigment. Scar camouflage, on the other hand, involves implanting pigment to blend scars with the surrounding skin tone, creating a more uniform appearance.
6. Who is a good candidate for paramedical tattoo services?
Paramedical tattooing is ideal for individuals with scars, stretch marks, discoloration, or those seeking areola restoration after surgery. A consultation is recommended to determine if this treatment is right for you.
7. Can you fix old or poorly done permanent makeup?
Yes, in many cases, we can correct or improve old or poorly done permanent makeup with techniques like color correction or reshaping. A consultation will help us determine the best approach for your specific situation.
8. Are permanent makeup and paramedical tattoos safe?
Yes, when performed by a trained and certified technician, these procedures are safe. We use sterile, single-use tools and high-quality, hypoallergenic pigments to ensure client safety and satisfaction.
9. How do I prepare for my appointment?
To prepare, avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment.
